AW169
Flight Structures has developed a leading edge Aero-Medical fit out for this aircraft in conjunction with Westpac Rescue-Auckland.
The Leonardo AW169 is a new rotorcraft with leading edge avionics that is ideal for EMS roles. With a spacious cabin there is room for clinical staff to treat patients in flight. We have a full range of products approved, with several more in development at the moment.

RULS (Rotorcraft Utility Loading System)
The RULS was designed around the Zero Lift Principal to ease the workload for crew. The stretcher is in a longitudinal position during flight to enable the best patient care, and rotates to transverse for loading from a stretcher trolley.
The RULS is lightweight and enables hoisting directly onto the stretcher bed.
The RULS is STC Approved.

THRULS (Rotorcraft Hospital Trolley)
Flight Structures has designed a full Aero Medical fitout for both Westpac Rescue Auckland AW169 aircraft which includes a transportable trolley that works with the RULS system.
With this set up the AW169 is equipped at all times for patient transfers.
Oxygen System
The oxygen bottle storage provides 1500 litre capacity with cabin outlets, monitoring and control and two ceiling mounted outlets.
Medical Oxygen is provided by an O2 Bottle remotely stored, with access through an external door.
The Oxygen System is STC Approved.
Stretcher Bridge
The Stretcher Bridge allows medical crew to view monitors and access equipment in flight and on the ground. The cantilever design means patients can be uploaded to the stretcher without removal of aero medical equipment.
Rear Storage Racks
This wall mounted rack allows for the safe stowage of equipment at the back of the aircraft.
